Job Summary

Manage plant operations across production, maintenance, quality, materials, and human resources to ensure goals are met for safety, product quality, on-time delivery, and cost control. Promote a zero-incident safety culture and ensure compliance with Silgan's safety policies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to position the plant as a cost-effective, high-performing producer. Establish and manage budgets, cost controls, and continuous improvement programs to achieve financial and operational targets. Drive a results-oriented management culture by defining accountabilities, monitoring performance, and developing high-performing teams. Partner with Quality and Procurement to ensure production and purchased materials meet or exceed customer requirements. Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork through open communication and participative leadership. Support food safety and product safety systems within the plant. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by Operations leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • An associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive operations experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong business acumen and ability to manage P&L performance
  • Experience with union contract administration and labor relations
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and driving measurable results
  • Ability to promote a zero-incident safety culture
  • Ability to ensure compliance with Silgan's safety policies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to develop and implement manufacturing strategies
  • Ability to establish and manage budgets, cost controls, and continuous improvement programs
  • Ability to define accountabilities, monitor performance, and develop high-performing teams
  • Ability to partner with Quality and Procurement to ensure production and purchased materials meet or exceed customer requirements
  • Ability to support food safety and product safety systems within the plant
