Job Summary
Plant Manager responsible for the efficient, safe, and environmentally correct operation and growth of the Sika Lakewood, NJ facility. Develop and implement programs to improve quality and productivity, mentor cross-functional teams (engineering, maintenance, quality), and align with annual safety, quality, and expense/ capital budget goals. Requires ability to lead process improvement (lean, SPC), manage capital planning and preventative maintenance, and develop staff to ensure uninterrupted production to meet customer demand. Strong emphasis on communication, teamwork, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business or related field preferred
- Minimum of 10 years Manufacturing Management experience
- Experience managing production personnel
- Strong leadership and coaching skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Humility and collaboration in leadership style
- Ability to map processes and identify non-value-added activities
- Knowledge of continuous improvement concepts including statistical process control and lean manufacturing
