Job Summary
Direct the full aggregate manufacturing process from drilling and blasting through crushing, screening, and stockpiling at the Buda Quarry. Manage daily logistics, load-out operations, and third-party haulers to supply regional concrete plants while tracking KPIs to maximize throughput and lower cost-per-ton. Enforce MSHA and TCEQ compliance, lead safety meetings, and control environmental factors like dust mitigation. Partner with maintenance and quality control teams to execute preventive schedules and ensure product meets TxDOT standards. Supervise foremen, operators, and laborers while managing the operational budget, CapEx planning, and vendor contracts. Requires 5+ years of open-pit aggregate experience and a Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive management experience in a limestone quarry or heavy open-pit aggregate mining environment
- Deep operational understanding of crushing and screening systems, conveyor tracking, and heavy mining equipment applications
- Proven track record of managing a site under MSHA Title 30 regulations and state environmental guidelines
- Excellent communication
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic financial budgeting fluency
- Proficiency with aggregate production tracking or ERP software

- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
