Job Summary
Direct the full aggregate manufacturing process from drilling and blasting through crushing, screening, and stockpiling at the Buda Quarry. Manage daily logistics, load-out operations, and third-party haulers to supply regional ready-mix concrete plants while tracking KPIs to maximize throughput and lower cost-per-ton. Enforce total compliance with MSHA regulations and TCEQ environmental permits by leading safety meetings, conducting workplace examinations, and controlling dust mitigation and noise factors. Partner with maintenance and quality control teams to execute preventive schedules for heavy equipment and monitor product gradation against TxDOT standards. Supervise foremen, operators, and laborers while managing the operational budget, CapEx planning, and vendor contracts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive management experience in a limestone quarry or heavy open-pit aggregate mining environment
- Deep operational understanding of crushing and screening systems, conveyor tracking, and heavy mining equipment applications
- Proven track record of managing a site under MSHA Title 30 regulations and state environmental guidelines
- Excellent communication
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic financial budgeting fluency
- Proficiency with aggregate production tracking or ERP software
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
