Job Summary
Lead all manufacturing activities at the Arlington, TX facility's four-shift, 24/7 operation by directing daily production, managing procurement, and maintaining schedules. Maximize asset capacity and flexibility while minimizing costs, ensuring on-time shipping and strict adherence to safety, quality, and stewardship standards. Drive continuous improvement through Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, analyze data to reduce waste, and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program. Manage direct reports, develop staff, and foster a culture of operational excellence by recognizing teams and addressing root causes. Collaborate with R&D to optimize performance and maintain positive relationships with customer service.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in plant management for a manufacturing business, working with multiple sites and multiple product/service categories
- 15+ years of inline finishing print experience
- Prior experience managing direct reports is a must
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
- Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
- Solid experience with industry standard equipment, technical expertise, inline finishing and troubleshooting
- Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office; ability to manage and analyze large data sets and build models in MS Excel
- Knowledge of g SAP
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants
- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
- Capable of leading root cause analysis investigations
- Knowledge of process improvement principles such as Lean, Six Sigma
- Exceptional written, verbal skills
- Some travel required
