Job Summary
Plant Manager duties include coordinating with District officials to ensure educational, administrative and community use of District facilities; supervise maintenance of facilities, schedule work programs, submit logs and reports; ensure adherence to safety, codes (structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire), and mandated programs; travel within and outside North Slope Borough; oversee facility operations, safety and training compliance, and vendor coordination; requires high school diploma, Alaska driver’s license, boiler and pool certifications, and five years of supervisory and facilities maintenance management experience. Preferred Public Management certification and Inupiaq cultural experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Valid Alaska Driver’s License required
- Five years of supervisory experience required
- Boiler maintenance and troubleshooting experience required
- Pool certification required
- Five years construction trades or facilities maintenance management required
