Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring highest quality products are delivered efficiently within budgeted costs. Drive strategic planning for production goals, cost reduction, and capital planning while managing profit and loss through regular KPI reviews. Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives, conduct weekly safety walks, and maintain a positive safety culture to improve accident records. Manage all administrative functions including scheduling, maintenance, and shipping while conducting talent reviews, staff training, and weekly operative meetings. Interface with customers and suppliers, establish community relationships, and implement ISO quality standards and operating systems.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in operations, maintenance, engineering and/or process Improvement roles including managing teams of people
- Previous experience working in a Lean environment
- Proven experience and record of successes in a high-speed manufacturing environment
- Experience in a commercial role with direct customer contact
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with process development and business process design
- Experience managing to the ISO or equivalent quality standards
- Experience implementing and/or managing to an Operating System (example: the Toyota Production Systems)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Operations or Business Management preferred
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification a plus
- Experience with plastic injection molding environment, and metal processing/metal forming strong preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus, but not required
