Job Summary
Plant Manager - Martfu, Hungary responsible for overall site management at the Martfu oilseed processing, refining, bottling and SUNPRO facility. Lead plant operations to maximize asset performance, efficiency and throughput while maintaining cost control and operational excellence; develop and implement strategic plans, budgets and capital expenditure initiatives; ensure Quality, Food and Feed Safety policies, standards, and procedures are followed to meet customer and regulatory requirements; drive safety, quality and environmental culture; build and develop a high-performing management team; monitor KPIs and take corrective actions to achieve targets; foster continuous improvement and risk management; ensure regulatory compliance and manage external relationships. Requirements include Master’s degree in engineering or other technical field (MBA a plus), 10+ years of experience with 5+ in plant management (preferably in soft seed/edible oil), experience in unionized environments, strong leadership and analytical skills, fluency in Hungarian and English, excellent communication, MS Office and SAP preferred, and a proactive, highly prioritized approach to work.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in engineering or other technical field (Project Management, Continuous Improvement within production area); MBA is a plus
- 10+ years of experience, including 5+ years in plant management (preferably in soft seed/edible oil industry) or other management role in a multinational company
- Experience in unionized environments preferred
- Strong leadership, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to engage and motivate diverse teams across functions, combining both strategic and operational mindset
- Fluent in both Hungarian and English languages
- Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels
- Proficiency in MS Office; SAP knowledge preferred; strong business and financial acumen
- Self-driven with high initiative and strong prioritization skills
