Job Summary
Plant Manager responsible for total performance of the plant and quarry locations, including safety, production, maintenance, quality, compliance, and cost control. Lead strategic planning, KPI management, and budgeting; establish objectives aligned with corporate goals; drive effective communication with employees and the community; ensure product quality and timely customer fulfillment; oversee safety culture and regulatory compliance; provide leadership and development for plant/quarry staff; coordinate with Sales, Quality, Mining, and Management; leverage SAP, Lean/Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies; expect significant travel (up to 20%) and hands-on capability in a mining/manufacturing environment; physical demands include exposure to extreme conditions, ability to access all locations, and lifting up to 50 pounds. REQUIRED EDUCATION includes a High School Diploma or GED; a Bachelor's Degree in related disciplines is highly desired; 7–10 years of leadership experience in related industries; cost accounting and financial statement knowledge; strong communication and organizational skills; Lean/Six Sigma experience is a plus; environment emphasizes safety, environmental compliance, and inclusion.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining, Geology, Chemical, Mechanical or other Engineering disciplines is highly desired or equivalent work experience
- Must have at least seven to ten years previous leadership experience in a fast-paced mining and/or heavy manufacturing, construction environments
- Solid understanding of cost accounting principles and financial statements, including P&L
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor staff; strong Excel/PowerPoint skills; SAP knowledge is a plus
