Job Summary
Plant Manager to oversee plant operations and direct the organization to operate the plant facility efficiently. Responsible for recruiting and training the plant organization, developing employee and community relations programs, managing operating budgets and cost standards, implementing corporate programs for cost reduction, capital expenditures, energy conservation, industrial hygiene, safety and housekeeping, and maintaining equipment and assets to ensure production of the company’s product line to internal standards. Leads customer service initiatives, and undertakes special projects under the Vice President of Production; supervises all plant employees through subordinate supervisors; requires strong MS Word/Excel skills and ability to read and interpret safety and operating manuals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
- Seven (7) years in a production environment
- At least three (3) years in plastic pipe or extruding process manufacturing environment
- Supervisory experience, people skills, ability to manage complex working environment
