Job Summary
Plant Manager responsible for assisting the Director of Plant Services in engineering, custodial, and minor maintenance at selected facilities, overseeing operations of HVAC systems, sanitation, safety, and appearance; duties include opening/closing buildings, monitoring and maintaining ventilation, replacing lighting, inventory management for janitorial supplies, reporting vandalism, inspecting safety equipment, performing light maintenance, supervising custodial staff, coordinating with the principal, and performing related duties as assigned. Requires experience in custodial services, strong communication and analytical skills, collaborative leadership, and a valid Louisiana driver’s license with ability to operate a manual transmission. Desirable qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and additional mechanical/trade experience. The role may require extended or on-call hours for emergencies and special events, and compensation is described as a competitive salary/benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of progressively increasing experience in custodial services
- strong communication skills across multiple settings
- excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven decision making
- collaborative management style with diverse teams
- valid Louisiana driver's license
- knowledge of driving laws and ability to interpret traffic signals
- ability to operate a manual transmission
