Job Summary
Own the Plant Bowler metrics by collaborating with HR, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance to align with plant-wide performance goals. Lead SQDIP initiatives focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity to drive continuous improvement. Conduct daily Gemba walks and meetings to identify issues and foster accountability. Deploy safety programs and implement Lean methodologies including the 4M principle and Kanban to ensure efficient use of resources. Identify and execute cost reduction projects to eliminate waste and enhance productivity. Mentor teams and support succession planning while responding to market dynamics to control labor and overhead costs.
Required Qualifications
- 10 or more years of experience in manufacturing operations in a leadership role
- Experience with complex manufacturing ideally in an international company
- Proven track record in Lean manufacturing, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong leadership skills that promote accountability as well as development all while striving towards achievement of bowler and plant metrics
- Progressive, flexible, and team oriented; possess results-based style and skill set with strong influencing skills
- Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, to direct and motivate team
- Strong listening skills to understand the needs of the workforce
- Ability to effectively manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously
- Ability to anticipate, negotiate, and manage conflicts, problems, changing situations and deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, ERP software (ex: Microsoft BC, SAP Oracle) preferred
