Job Summary
Plan, organize, and manage daily plant operations to ensure efficient workflow and productivity at the Bicron Electronics facility in Torrington, CT. Oversee production activities, monitor performance metrics, and allocate labor, materials, and equipment to maximize output. Lead, hire, coach, and develop production and maintenance teams while fostering a safety-first culture and continuous improvement. Partner with senior leadership to implement operational strategies and address complex issues as the primary operational leader. Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and initiate corrective actions for safety, quality, or efficiency concerns.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing or plant operations leadership
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams in a production or industrial environment
- Strong understanding of operational functions including production, maintenance, finance, and workforce management
- Proven experience driving process improvements and managing operations for maximum efficiency and productivity
- Ability to adapt structures, processes, and priorities to meet changing business demands
- Solid working knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry compliance standards
- Experience using business and manufacturing management systems (e.g., SAP, ERP, CRM)
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time-management skills
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to balance strategic planning and hands-on execution
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer
- Ability to walk, stand, and navigate throughout the production facility as required
- Must be able to adjust focus, have peripheral vision, and see both close and long distances
- Ability to work in a production environment with machinery, noise, and PPE requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to approximately 15 pounds as needed
