Job Summary

Plant Manager responsible for overall safe and efficient plant operations including aggregate and industrial mineral production (crushing, screening, washing, and material handling). Oversees production planning to meet quality and volume targets, maintenance coordination, EHS compliance (MSHA/OSHA), budgeting and cost control, staff supervision and development, and customer or sales liaison to address product quality and satisfaction. Leads safety programs, employee relations, and continuous improvement initiatives for the Los Angeles, CA site.

Required Qualifications

  • BS degree in Engineering (Mining/ Civil, Mechanical/ Materials/ Mineral Processing) or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years’ prior work experience supervising production employees, preferably in Industrial Sand or Industrial Minerals mine
  • Strong knowledge of crushing, screening, separation and material handling equipment
  • Knowledge of MSHA and OSHA safety and environmental regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organization, conflict and problem resolution skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
  • Ability to plan and manage effectively using motivation and team-building skills
  • Flexible to work long hours and occasional overnight travel
