Job Summary
Plant Manager III at Waldron Plant is responsible for all functional areas of a poultry processing plant, including three production shifts, maintenance, personnel safety, shipping and receiving, sanitation, scheduling, quality, and process improvement. Build and motivate management to implement programs that enhance employee skill levels; resolve quality issues; review cost and performance data to identify improvements; compile monthly expense and efficiency reports; promote and implement Total Quality Management (TQM) philosophy; obtain approval for and execute all plant capital improvement projects. Lead Talent Mapping and Succession Planning programs, support retention initiatives, ensure food safety, food quality, and regulatory compliance, and drive improvements across production processes. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), 8+ years of progressive manufacturing experience, strong communication skills, SAP/Office familiarity (preferred), and ability to travel. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a general professional or technical field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in the food processing industry (preferred)
- Experience supervising multiple groups across more than one department
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Travel ability to approximately 6 to 11 trips per year
- Willingness and ability to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
- Background checks required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the food processing industry is preferred
- Working knowledge of SAP systems is preferred
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is preferred
