Job Summary
Plant Manager at Wakefield Thermal responsible for leading extrusion operations, safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. Oversees production planning to meet schedules while maximizing throughput, yield, and efficiency; monitors KPIs such as OTD, scrap, equipment downtime, and labor efficiency; drives Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement projects; manages plant budget and capital planning; leads and develops a team of leaders and contributors; collaborates with Sales and plant leadership to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery; engages in cross-functional projects across Heico Groups; emphasizes safety culture and regulatory compliance (OSHA, environmental standards).
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in business or operations management
- 15+ years progressive management/leadership experience in an extrusion environment
- Strong understanding of extrusion processes, tooling, and materials
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and Dynamics AX
- Proficient use of MS Office, Exceptional Excel skills
