Job Summary
Drive a robust EHS culture and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental procedures while leading continuous improvement in housekeeping and 5S+1. Collaborate with Supply Chain to achieve schedule goals, control plant spend against budgets, and determine facility headcount. Lead the site leadership team in recruiting, developing, and terminating activities, while mentoring successors for plant and operations roles. Administer merit pay programs, address employee concerns with HR, and prioritize critical items to deliver quality results by deadline. Support significant sales growth through facility change initiatives, New Product Introduction, and raw material acquisition. Participate in weekly Operations Leadership calls and monthly North America reviews to offer solutions and guide the organization's GBU strategy.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in a Technical discipline
- 7 years of experience leading a manufacturing operation as site leader
- 10 years of experience in chemical manufacturing
- Demonstrated expertise in managing significant change within a manufacturing operating environment
- Demonstrated success in organizational development and team building
- Experience managing large and small capital projects
- Proficiency in Quality Management Systems with demonstrated results
Desired Qualifications
- MBA (Operations Management, Finance, Accounting)
- PSM experience
- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP database management systems
- Six Sigma certification, (Green or Black Belt)
- LEAN certification
- Experience in distribution & warehouse operations
