Job Summary
Plant Manager responsible for maintaining the school district's plant and grounds to ensure a safe, attractive educational environment. Oversees daily maintenance operations, cleaning, landscaping, minor repairs, and incident response; manages work requests using maintenance software; maintains inventory and equipment; monitors HVAC, ventilation, and heating systems; ensures security and compliance with local/state/federal regulations; coordinates with Fire Marshal, OSHA, and Risk Manager; arranges furniture/equipment for events and school activities; ensures outside organizations renting facilities follow rental policies; performs monthly building needs checklists; reports to Principal and Operations Supervisors; requires 5 years supervisory and 5 years of facilities/grounds experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance and operation of buildings
- Minimum of 5 years of lawn and grounds maintenance
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work well with others
- Proficient in computers including word processing, spreadsheets and databases
- Reliable transportation
