Job Summary
Plant Manager for a manufacturing facility in Lamar, SC overseeing fabrication, welding, production, scheduling, quality, safety, maintenance, and facility operations. Leads day-to-day plant operations, drives safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement, manages workforce planning and production output metrics, develops production teams, oversees CNC and welding equipment, monitors KPIs and budgets, ensures safety compliance and proper PPE use, and coordinates cross-functionally for on-time delivery and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of managerial or supervisory experience within a structural steel, metal fabrication, or heavy manufacturing environment
- Experience overseeing fabrication, welding, and production operations
- Knowledge of MIG welding, CNC equipment, and blueprint reading
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, MES systems, and ERP systems such as Epicor
- Ability to manage budgets, production schedules, and operational planning
- OSHA or accredited safety training preferred
