Job Summary
Oversee daily plant production, maintenance, and planning to support customers while maintaining maximum capacity within financial controls. Ensure compliance with all safety standards through continuous employee training, audits, and a clean manufacturing environment. Implement quality and food safety systems in coordination with Quality Assurance, review customer complaints, and establish training for acceptable quality levels. Achieve production goals by minimizing equipment downtime, optimizing setup times, and maximizing throughput through proper training and maintenance coordination. Hire, direct, and coach staff to foster engagement, while managing an operational P&L, reviewing monthly performance, and driving continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 10+ years progressive experience in food production, maintenance, and warehouse operations
- Experience in delivering sustainable continuous process improvement programs through engaging and empowering teams
- Understanding of OSHA and manufacturing safety requirements
- Knowledge of data analytics and appropriate KPI's for measurement of manufacturing systems
- Working knowledge of ISO Management Systems for Safety, Quality and Environmental
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information with discretion and professionalism
- Proven leadership capability in developing managers and other key employees within an operation
- Strong business acumen with experience managing an operational P&L and operating budget
- Demonstrated ability to build capable, high-performing teams
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage and respond to issues when needed for a 24/7 operation
