Job Summary
The Plant Manager is accountable for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of a Justrite site focused on metal fabrication. Responsibilities include leading daily operations across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People (SQDCP), ensuring production aligns with customer service and inventory targets. Key tasks encompass managing labor plans, coordinating with Supply Chain and Quality, driving Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives, leading compliance with OSHA regulations, and overseeing operational budgets and costs. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, ideally with a background in metal fabrication and Lean methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 15+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including leadership of supervisors and production teams.
- Experience in metal fabrication and/or machining operations (CNC and fab processes).
- Demonstrated success improving SQDCP performance using Lean/CI methods.
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP environments and production reporting.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in make-to-stock environments with finished goods availability targets and replenishment planning.
- Black Belt certification or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience coordinating outside processing/special processes (heat treat, coating/plating, paint) as applicable.
- Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality systems.
