Plant Maintenance Technician I - 3rd Shift (Eligible for up to a $5,000 Sign On Bonus)

Job Summary
Repair and maintain machinery, motors, conveyor systems, and MRF equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Diagnose mechanical components to determine necessary adjustments or repairs, dismantle devices to access defective parts, and replace or adjust functional parts. Perform preventative maintenance, welding, cutting, and housekeeping duties throughout the shift while adhering to all safety, health, and environmental policies. Requires one year of production maintenance experience, fabrication knowledge, and a valid Class C driver's license. Works Monday through Saturday from 8:00 pm to 4:30 pm at an hourly rate of $26.23 to $36.31.
Required Qualifications
- 1 years' experience in maintenance & repair in production style environment
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Fabrication knowledge (Mig/Tig/Arc/Oxy Acetylene/brazing etc.)
- Sufficient working knowledge regarding plant component repairs and replacements
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot and identify electrical/mechanical issues and complete in a safe timely manner
- Perform all tasks safely and in accordance with applicable OSHA rules and regulations
- Consistently behaves in a manner that is appropriate and professional
- Valid Class C Driver's License
- Acceptable Driver's Record
- Must possess personal tools
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must have own tool box
- Bending, reaching, stretching, crouching, & lifting ≤ 50 Lbs. continuously
- Exposure to unprotected heights
- Exposure to heavy machinery
- Eye/hand coordination, & handling continuously
- Exposure to dust, smoke, fumes, odors, grease, oil, chemicals, wet slippery surfaces, hot/cold conditions, & noise continuously
- Works inside and outside
- Monday - Saturday from 8:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Desired Qualifications
- Trade School Certification
- Bilingual English / Spanish
- Welder certification
- Waste, rock & sand, concrete, and/or asphalt industry experience
