Job Summary
Plant Maintenance Technician responsible for proactive and reactive maintenance of plant equipment in a commercial laundry facility. Performs all scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance, conducts preventive maintenance, and handles emergent repairs to ensure efficient operation of equipment. Identifies and corrects issues such as jams, worn belts, and missing components; collaborates with Engineering as needed. Maintains maintenance logs, communicates status to Production Supervisors, and supports maintenance with outside vendors as required. Emphasizes safe operation of machinery and adherence to lockout/tagout and other safety procedures. Requires ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with strong communication to minimize downtime and keep production running smoothly.
Required Qualifications
- Must be team oriented and able to function individually or with team
- Self-motivated, independent, prompt
- Solid communication skills
- Must be able to operate tools and equipment safely
- Understand safety procedures including lockout/tag out, confined space entry, and working on hot equipment
- Maintain clean and safe work area
- Knowledge of machinery, drive systems, conveyors, overhead rail systems
