Job Summary
Plant Maintenance Technician responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and production equipment, diagnosing issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring safe operation. Responsibilities include dismantling devices to access defective parts, using hand and power tools, measuring with calipers, micrometers, and other instruments, adjusting functional parts, repairing or replacing components, and reporting operational problems to Supervisors. Complies with safety, health, environmental, and company policies; performs welding and cutting as needed; maintains, repairs, and cleans MRF equipment and related systems; physical demands include standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, exposure to dust and noise, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments. Requires a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year maintenance/repair experience in a production environment, fabrication knowledge, ability to troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues, OSHA compliance, and a valid Class C driver’s license; preferred qualifications include Trade School Certification, bilingual English/Spanish, Welder certification, and related industry experience.
Required Qualifications
- 1 years' experience in maintenance & repair in production style environment
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Fabrication knowledge (Mig/Tig/Arc/Oxy Acetylene/brazing etc.)
- Sufficient working knowledge regarding plant component repairs and replacements
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical/mechanical issues safely and timely
- Valid Class C Driver's License
- Acceptable Driver's Record
- Must possess personal tools
