Job Summary

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on piping systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, steam, and water lines. Read blueprints and schematics to execute installations and repairs, cutting, threading, bending, and welding pipes per specifications. Inspect systems for leaks and pressure, troubleshooting issues with pumps and valves while operating hand and power tools. Adhere to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout and confined space entry, and document all maintenance activities. Collaborate with team members to minimize downtime and participate in on-call rotations for emergency requests.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent vocational training in pipefitting, resulting in Journeyman Certification
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a pipefitter or industrial maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in various welding techniques (e.g., TIG, MIG, Stick) and pipe joining methods
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and P&IDs
  • General knowledge and use of measuring tools, hand tools, pipe wrenches, powered hand tools, wood working equipment and some machine equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of industrial safety practices and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions
  • Willing to work various shifts, weekends and holidays as needed
