Job Summary
Plant Maintenance role involving welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions using a torch (straight and scarfing tips), layout and drill patterns, replacing rollers on conveyors and drive belts, maintaining tools and service equipment, operating track torch and drill presses, fabricating parts, and ensuring safe, accurate belt and equipment maintenance. Requires ability to read tape measures, understand crushers/shakers mechanics, hear equipment issues, maintain good attendance, and work 12-hour shifts with potential weekend/overtime. Safety-sensitive environment with emphasis on minimal property damage, self-motivation, and coordination with quarry personnel.
Required Qualifications
- ability to work 12-hour shifts
- willingness to work weekend or overtime as needed
- ability to do manual labor including lifting items as heavy as 50 pounds
- ability to work during inclement conditions including extreme heat and cold
- ability to climb ladders, stairs, and perform repetitive bending and stooping when required
- excellent communication skills and ability to work with all personnel
- must be in current classification for 12 months before applying
- must stay in position for at least 12 months before applying for new position
