Job Summary
Coordinate and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems, scheduling and overseeing repair, modification, and new equipment installations. Assist in developing standard operating procedures, participate in HAZOPs, FMEAs, and Six Sigma projects, and serve as a location liaison with the corporate process safety group. Utilize hand and portable power tools while ensuring operations technicians follow safe working practices, and provide management advice on equipment life, usage, and new purchases. Requires 3-5 years of chemical manufacturing maintenance experience, OSHA Process Safety Management knowledge, and welding or high-pressure piping expertise. Full-time hourly non-exempt position.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma/GED
- 3 - 5 years of equipment maintenance experience in chemical manufacturing setting
- Knowledgeable in OSHA Process Safety Management Program elements including Mechanical Integrity, Management of Change, Operating Procedure Elements
- Knowledge of welding techniques
- Knowledge of high-pressure piping systems
- Knowledge of cryogenic pumps and systems
- Basic Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and repairs
- Computer skills including Microsoft applications
- Hourly, Non-Exempt Employee
