Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic focused on skilled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems within a food production environment. Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, conveyors, pumps, and food processing equipment; diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems; reading blueprints and schematics; replacing worn components; assisting with installation of new machinery or production lines; documenting activities via work orders/logs; ensuring OSHA/USDA/food safety compliance; coordinating with supervisors to minimize downtime; and participating in on-the-job training. Welding/fabrication skills (TIG/MIG) and electrical control wiring experience are a plus, with ability to work in a fast-paced setting and set up equipment across buildings.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Proficient with hand tools, multimeters, and basic fabrication
- Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs
- Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test, and background screen
- OSHA, USDA, and food safety standards familiarity or compliance
