Job Summary
Perform plant maintenance while adhering to MSHA and H&K Safety policies. Maintain clean work areas including catwalks, walk-ways, and general plant zones. Proactively learn plant functions and operations to complete assigned tasks, cross-train to substitute for other jobs, and travel to different portable plant sites. Work in a team with all other site personnel following direct direction. Rahns Concrete, a division of Haines and Kibblehouse, operates eight stationary plants and three portable units across southeast Pennsylvania. The role supports production and maintenance efforts for this concrete supplier.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR related experience and/or training
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
- Welding, Cutting, Fabrication
- Travel to different portable plant sites
- Pre-employment drug testing
- Pre-employment Physical
Desired Qualifications
- Basic Electrical knowledge preferred
- 3+ months related experience
- Experience operating heavy equipment
- Strong preference for Loader operation experience
- Experience working in a quarry, heavy civil construction, or other outdoor industrial setting
- MSHA or other relevant safety certification
