Job Summary
Install, wire, and commission new equipment and system upgrades while diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment. Plan wiring layouts, replace faulty components including motors, VFDs, and PLCs, and troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic equipment. Perform preventive maintenance on production and packaging machinery, interpret schematics, and utilize CMMS to track work orders. Collaborate with operations teams to minimize downtime, maintain OSHA compliance, and execute LOTO procedures. Frequent travel to local Standlee locations is required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (480V, 3-phase systems)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics
- Fluent English (talk, hear, read, write and communicate)
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to lift, push/pull items 30-50 pounds
- Ability to climb
- Ability to kneel
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Frequent travel to local Standlee locations (by vehicle)
Desired Qualifications
- Technical or trade school
- Multi-craft experience
- Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell)
- Experience with VFDs
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics and pneumatics
- Experience with Fuji robotic systems or similar industrial robots
- Experience using CMMS systems
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Journeyman Electrician License
