Job Summary
Bilingual Plant Lead for the Estherville, IA Central Bi-Products facility on the 3rd shift. Lead and supervise production staff to meet daily objectives, monitor raw material quality, train employees on machine SOPs, perform basic troubleshooting, coordinate maintenance with production schedules, ensure safe and clean work areas, and complete required paperwork. Requires 1-3 years in feed/food manufacturing with leadership experience, strong communication in English and Spanish, initiative, problem-solving, basic math, and ability to operate equipment (skid steers, forklifts) and computer tools. Schedule: 3rd shift (12:00am–8:00am), with potential overtime; training on day shift during initial period. Physical ability to stand, lift up to 75 pounds, and work in varied conditions; willingness to work variable hours and adapt to workload changes. Must be willing to work in a pork-processing environment.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years’ experience in feed/food manufacturing; prior leadership experience, highly preferred
- Advanced written and verbal communication; bilingual skills (English & Spanish) required
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
- Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities with the ability to manage time and deadlines with little supervision
- Ability to count accurately and perform basic math operations
- Read and comprehend signs, labels, warnings, and SOPs; legibly record data and write reports
- Experience safely operating equipment such as skid steers and forklifts; ability to pass in-house certifications
- Understanding and operate basic computer technology
- Willingness to work varying shifts or extra hours on short notice to fill in for an absent coworker
- Ability to work in a facility that processes pigs
