Plant Inventory Specialist

Job Summary
Manage equipment parts inventory across warehouse and plant locations, maintaining records, item setup, pricing, and reorder points within the ERP system. Review plant purchase requirements to issue purchase orders, expedite critical spare parts, and investigate inventory variances through regular reviews. Source and evaluate suppliers for competitive pricing, support bidding and contract management activities, and prepare reports on inventory performance and procurement metrics. Monitor inventory levels and aging data to ensure operations run safely and efficiently. This role supports Drax's sustainable energy future by securing critical supplies for our manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- 3–7 years of experience in inventory management, procurement, supply chain, warehouse operations, or a related field
- Experience working with ERP and inventory management systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations, inventory control, and purchasing processes
- Ability to travel periodically to support inventory reviews at other locations
