Plant Installation Machinery Foreman

Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate workers engaged in rigging and lifting activities, including operating hoists, winches, and cranes to move materials and machinery. Determine proper lifting methods for assigned projects, conduct basic loading of heavy lift equipment, and direct crew movement between work areas. Ensure strict compliance with OSHA safety procedures, method statements, and all engineering documentation while optimizing manpower and resources for efficient project completion. Provide crews with necessary tools and prevent equipment misuse. This hands-on role requires working without supervision, long hours, weekends, and holidays, with 90% of time spent in external conditions including temperature variance and noise.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of rigging or heavy lift experience
- 2-3 years Foreman experience
- proficient basic computer skills
- proficient oral and written communication skills
- minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs
- ability to stand, walk, sit, and stand for long periods of time
- Familiar with heavy lift plans and procedures
- Competent in reading and understanding specifications, drawings, and all other discipline related project and engineering documentation
- Ability to read, interpret and follow procedures
- Familiar with and enforces strict compliance with all OSHA Safety procedures
Desired Qualifications
- at least 1-3 years of experience as Foreman or Lead position
- Safety training and certification
