Job Summary
Plant HR Manager leads the HR function at the plant, ensuring delivery of HR standards and guidelines, driving teammate engagement, and promoting healthy HS&E practices. Responsible for strategic and hands-on HR activities including coaching on complex employee relations issues, analyzing HR metrics/KPIs, developing training matrices and plans per ISO 9001 and TWI methodology, and facilitating screening, interviewing, and selection for positions in conjunction with the hiring manager. Requires 5+ years in HR within manufacturing (automotive preferred) and union experience; emphasizes a Bachelor’s degree (Professional HR designation preferred) and ability to influence decisions across a matrix global organization. Strong payroll/HRIS awareness and excellent communication/training skills are valued.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of HR experience in manufacturing, automotive industry desirable
- Union experience in manufacturing site is a must
- Bachelor’s degree, Professional Human Resources Designation preferred
- Solid understanding of all facets of HR management
- Experience working in a matrix global organization
- Payroll and HRIS knowledge is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication and training skills
- Understanding of technical concepts and ability to learn technical skills
