Job Summary
Senior Plant HR Manager at a manufacturing site responsible for leading the HR/SP department, shaping staffing, recruiting, retention, and talent development strategies; overseeing programs for total rewards, performance management, investigations, employee relations, training, and compliance with federal/state/local laws; forecasting staffing needs, partnering with plant leadership, driving strategic HR initiatives, and ensuring implementation of the organization’s talent strategy.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Plant Human Resources Manager experience in the manufacturing industry
- Automotive industry experience is highly desirable
- Ability to be the site HR manager for the plant
- Strong people management skills
- Ability to design and lead strategic HR/SP activities
- Ability to influence and persuade to achieve desired outcomes
- Ability to identify future human capital challenges, and conduct activities for early intervention
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong decision-making skills
- Proficient with computer systems (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Results-oriented and flexible with change
- Team collaborator: works cooperatively with others to solve problems
- Self-motivated; takes initiative and works with a minimum of supervision
