Job Summary
Perform daily housekeeping and cleaning duties throughout production areas by sweeping flour, food particles, packaging materials, and debris from equipment and floors. Collect and remove trash to appropriate outdoor containers, wipe down machinery surfaces, and regularly inspect zones to address cleaning needs proactively. Assist with cleaning offices and common areas while following Good Manufacturing Practices and food-safety requirements. Immediately report sanitation or safety concerns to supervisors or the Quality Assurance department. Work under the direction of the Sanitation Supervisor, wearing required personal protective equipment and adhering to all plant safety policies. Candidates must be available for day or night shifts, including three 12-hour or four 10-hour weeks, with physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work near moving machinery.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks
- Comfortable working near production equipment and machinery with moving parts
- Ability to work safely in both warm and cold areas of the facility
- Must wear required personal protective equipment and follow all plant safety procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, sanitation, or industrial cleaning experience is preferred
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or food-production environment is helpful
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Basic understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices is preferred
