Plant Hire Equipment Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary
Diagnose faults on construction and plant equipment, carrying out mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs while performing routine servicing to ensure machines meet safety and performance standards. Travel to customer sites to repair breakdowns and provide on-site technical support, responding quickly to urgent faults to minimize downtime costs. Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics using diagnostic tools to identify root causes of equipment failures, then communicate with customers regarding faults and repairs. Complete service reports and job sheets, supporting warranty claims with evidence and recording parts used. Coordinate with the parts department, service managers, and workshop schedulers to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and on time.
Required Qualifications
