Job Summary
Plant Health Care Technician responsible for fertilization and pest management on trees, shrubs, and lawns using spray and injection tools; identify insects, weeds, and fungi; educate clients on diagnosis and prescribed pest control and fertilization services; monitor plant health and progress; operate and maintain equipment including trucks and sprayers; travel up to 25% in a permanent, full-time outdoor-role environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Qualified Plant Health Care Tech training program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
Desired Qualifications
- Background in Forestry, Horticulture or Landscaping
- Turf, Weed, Tree and shrub ID, Pathology and knowledge of turf or tree physiology
- Davey Tree Qualified Plant Health Care Tech training program upon hire
- First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Pesticide licenses and certificates as required by state law
- Valid driver’s license
