Job Summary
Plant Health Care Technician duties include fertilizing and applying pest management on trees, shrubs, and lawns using spray and injection tools; identify and diagnose insects, weeds, fungi, and pest-prone areas; educate clients on diagnoses and prescribed services; monitor plant health and fertilization methods, and report progress to customers and supervisors; operate and maintain equipment (truck and sprayer).
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Qualified Plant Health Care Tech training program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture or Landscaping
- Preferred: Turf, Weed, Tree and shrub ID, Pathology and knowledge of turf or tree physiology
- Starting pay rate: $20-$23 per hour
