Job Summary
Foreperson supervising the manufacturing of ready-mix concrete, hot-mix asphalt and/or aggregates, coordinating activities of workers, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance. Responsibilities include training staff, planning and directing work, payroll documentation, safety meetings, and liaising with Area Managers/Operations Manager on personnel, production efficiency, project needs, and regulatory adherence. Requires strong leadership, supervisory capability, knowledge of labor laws, safety procedures, payroll processes, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with TrackIt/Command software is preferred. Must be able to read delivery tickets and safety manuals, adapt to changing conditions, and work with a team to meet quality and production specifications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- experience in operation of asphalt, aggregate or ready mixed concrete facilities or related industry preferred
- experience with TrackIt, Video Driving Review Software, Command or similar software preferred
- must pass drug screen and criminal background check
- valid driver's license
- willingness to travel occasionally and work evenings and weekends when necessary
- ability to read and interpret delivery tickets and safety rules
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to train, motivate and lead employees
- proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
