Job Summary
Conduct regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various plant types while diagnosing faults and implementing corrective measures. Perform routine checks to prevent breakdowns and ensure equipment longevity, collaborating with operations to coordinate schedules and minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, keep accurate records of work and parts used, and provide technical support to the team and clients. Maintain a fair rotational on-call schedule within a supportive environment focused on continuous training and industry standards.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications such as an NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent (HGV Maintenance, Agricultural Maintenance)
- Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, Plant Mechanic, or similar role
- Familiarity with health and safety standards and a commitment to applying safety practices at all times
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A valid UK driving licence
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems preferred
- CPCS Card Holder or equivalent
- Experience with specific brands and models of cranes in our fleet
- Welding and fabrication skills
- Experience directly as a Plant Fitter either in the hire industry or within the Plant Department of a construction company is preferred
