Job Summary
Plant Engineer to maintain, install, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems. Responsibilities include electrical circuit installations, safety testing, inspection, and repair; piping and pump work; operation of steam plant and building automation, plus maintenance of heating/sealing refrigerating equipment. Requires hands-on experience with building systems, knowledge of motor/HVAC electrical controls, and ability to obtain the necessary certifications/licensure. Strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and delivering reliable facility operations. Required Qualifications
- 4 years of building systems or electrical control experience preferred
- Knowledge and journey level skills in motor and HVAC electrical controls
- Maintains acceptable driving record
- Willing and able to maintain appropriate certification, licensure or registration as mandated by governing agency
- Maintenance, installation, and repair of electrical systems and controls; inspection and safety testing of electrical circuits and HVAC systems
- Repair and overhaul of piping, pumps, heat exchangers, steam traps, and related equipment
- Monitor and operate building HVAC systems and steam plant; ensure conformance with NEC and state requirements
