Job Summary
Lead maintenance execution activities at the Council Bluffs facility, overseeing the Preventative Maintenance program via SAP and managing five Maintenance Supervisors. Drive technical leadership through Root Cause Analysis, Focused Improvement, and FMEA while partnering with Operations, Procurement, QA, and Shipping to meet departmental KPIs. Develop the team through recruitment and training, align with Corporate Engineering for standardization, and support new project development with proper documentation. Collaborate with EHS on safety requirements and communicate effectively with internal teams and vendors. Requires 10+ years in industrial maintenance with five in food processing, including ammonia refrigeration expertise. Schedule includes M-F and weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of progressively more responsible positions within industrial maintenance field
- Minimum five (5) years within a food processing industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extensive background in ammonia refrigeration
- Extensive background in air compressor technology
- Extensive background in variable frequency motor controls
- Extensive background in maintenance of sanitary conditions
- Ability to demonstrate effective people skills
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with basic office software (word and excel)
- Supervisory skills – maintenance management through whom both direct and indirect people report
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Ability to work within area temperatures under 40°F or Over 80°F
- Exposure to various chemicals, machinery, and knives
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Schedule M-F and weekends when needed
- Drug, alcohol, and background check eligibility
- Employment eligibility verification by end of third day of work
Desired Qualifications
- PSM/RMP experience
- SAP experience
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred but a combination of education and or work experience will be considered
