Job Summary
Install, repair, erect, dismantle, and assemble plant machinery and electrical equipment including motors, switches, PLCs, and VFDs. Inspect glass forming and factory operating machines to maintain product flow and service cullet lines and conveyors. Adjust lines as needed and complete routine reports. Must possess a Journeyman card or equivalent experience, read blueprints and wiring diagrams, and pass a mechanical and electrical skills test. Work rotating 8-hour shifts including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of gearboxes, VFDs, and job change processes
- Experience reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, shop handbooks and layouts
- Experience completing routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to work a rotating schedule
- High School degree or GED
- Journeyman cardholder (Mechanical or Electrical) or 5 years of equivalent experience
- Must be able to pass a mechanical & electrical skills test in order to be considered
- Must have strong problem solving skills
- Must be able to work a rotating shift, which includes weekends and holidays
- Able to lift 40 lbs. on a regular basis
Desired Qualifications
- PLC programming and troubleshooting is a plus
