Job Summary
Execute automation solutions controlling plant processes by designing, configuring, and implementing control strategies based on current best practices. Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems, analyze schematics, and work with the fix/support team to identify areas needing improvement and reliability. Provide training for completed projects and update systems using PLC/HMI programming languages. This role requires a 6-day work week, moderate physical exertion including lifting over 50 pounds, and exposure to wet, humid, and fast-paced environments. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship and possess knowledge of Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need of a Visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Knowledge of PLC/HMI/Controls programming languages
- Ability to update and troubleshoot a range of electrical or instrumentation systems
- Ability to read and analyze electrical schematics
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team or individual environment and be a self-starter
- Ability to pass an Electrical Aptitude Test
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- This position requires availability for a 6 day work week
- Ability to lift objects weighing more than 50 pounds
- Ability to lift 10-25 pounds

Desired Qualifications
- Previous Cargill Experience
- Ability to understand continuous and batch process control strategies
- Possess a working understanding of the production process
- Ability to configure and program a variety of control systems including PLC and HMI systems
- Knowledge of reliability centered maintenance, planning and scheduling
- Automation, Electrical, and / or Instrumentation experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens
- Design and implementation knowledge of plant digital business technologies
