Job Summary
Performs skilled electrical tasks to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and/or modify complex industrial equipment, processes and/or systems in a food/feed manufacturing environment. Requires reading electrical schematics and blueprints, and applying knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, industrial control systems, PLCs, high voltage power, and instrumentation. Ensures compliance with HACCP/FDA, EHS, FSQR, and food safety standards; may assist in installation/start-up of new equipment; works with minimal supervision and may oversee day-to-day operations of area. Must have or obtain Ontario 309A/442A or Red Seal certification and be willing to work overtime; relocation assistance not provided.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Possession of Construction Electrician 309A or Industrial Manufacturing Electrician 442A by the Ontario College of Trades or Red Seal certification
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
- Ability to read and understand English (verbal/written)
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to operate in varied indoor/outdoor conditions with PPE
