Job Summary
Plant Electrician for Cargill in Ingersoll, ON. Performs skilled electrical tasks to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and modify complex industrial equipment and systems; diagnoses malfunctions; conducts preventative and corrective maintenance; assists in installation/start-up of new equipment; reads electrical schematics and coordinates with safety, food safety, and regulatory requirements; works with minimal supervision and ensures quality of work. Requires familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, industrial control systems, PLCs, high voltage distribution, instrumentation, and compliance with EHS/FSQR and HACCP/FDA in a food processing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions with PPE
- Basic use of a computer and typing skills
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
- Possession of Construction Electrician 309A or Industrial Manufacturing Electrician 442A by the Ontario College of Trades or Red Seal certification
