Job Summary
Plant Director oversees all aspects of high-volume, cGMP manufacturing operations, including production, maintenance, inventory control, safety, and workforce management. Responsibilities include leading operational leadership across shifts, ensuring compliance with cGMP/SOPs/FDA regulations, driving throughput and on-time delivery, coordinating production planning, maintaining batch records and QC logs, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and owning P&L performance with a focus on labor optimization, process improvements, waste reduction, and KPI-driven performance. The role requires 10+ years in manufacturing leadership and a bachelor’s degree in a related field; experience in nutraceutical/pharmaceutical environments and ERP/MRP systems is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent combination of education and progressive manufacturing leadership experience considered)
- 10+ years of experience in high-volume manufacturing with leadership at Plant Director or equivalent level
- Strong background in nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing environments
- Proven success managing multi-shift operations and large teams
- Hands-on experience with vitamin/supplement processing and packaging preferred
- Deep understanding of cGMP, FDA regulations, and SOP-driven environments
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems for production planning, inventory, and reporting
- Strong operational and financial acumen, including P&L ownership
