Job Summary
On-site finance role at PPG's Shildon site focusing on cost visibility and process improvements: lead batch variance analysis, update production routings to reflect actual yields, investigate slow-moving and surplus inventory, enhance cost centre reporting at supplier level, and implement routings aligned with true costs. Requires strong Excel and ERP (Oracle R12) experience, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently within cross-functional, cross-functional teams to support the Financial Controller with strategic decision-making and sustainable cost efficiencies.
Required Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle R12)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
