Job Summary
Manage all accounting operations for Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, including A/P, A/R, Billing, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Month End Close, and Audit work. Collect, interpret, and report business data to certify balance sheet accounts and reconcile physical inventory. Prepare financial presentations for senior leadership covering drivers, drains, actual-to-budget variances, and key performance indicators. Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements. Provide financial leadership and support to plant management. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting with 6-8 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment. Salary is $120,000–$145,000.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting
- 6-8 years of progressive experience working in a fast-paced business environment with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably furniture/upholstery manufacturing
- Expert knowledge of regulations, best practices, governmental guidelines and tax laws that affect the company
- Experience developing and leading annual budgeting process with multiple stakeholders in large and complex organizations
- Highly proficient in financial analysis and model building
- Highly flexible and adaptable, with operational growth, particularly with technology and systems
- Strong communication and relationship building skills with a strong customer service orientation
- Extremely organized with keen attention to detail
